LEARNING OUTCOMES

Participants will deepen their understanding of group work and their role in their own professional field in film production process. Breakdown 2 will continue the same process that was started during the Breakdown 1 but in this workshop they will expand their knowledge also about international co-productions and co-financed productions, distribution and marketing.

Students will gain experience of head of department s responsibilities, duties, management, leadership and their role in international co-productions. They will also get familiar with the importance of a breakdown and different pre-production stages.

CONTENT, ASSESSMENT AND WORKLOAD

Content

    During the workshop students will go through a real film production s script and prepare their own breakdown and presentation, production package, that will be displayed at the final day of the workshop.

    Visiting lecturers will show examples of different professionals approaches to the breakdowns and all stages of a breakdown will be analysed critically and also according to their effect on the content and possible quality of the produced film. In this workshop students will expand their knowledge also about international co-productions and co-financed productions, distribution and marketing.

    In addition to these, during this workshop both the lecturers and students are aiming to develop and find new possible pre-production and working methods and possibilities.
