LEARNING OUTCOMES

The student learns to visualize and analyze the impact of visual means and the relationship with other means of film (acting, sound, editing) in a longer-term work. Students develop their ability to reflect on these factors in their own work and to understand their own influence as part of a large team.

CONTENT, ASSESSMENT AND WORKLOAD

Content

    Exploring the Art of Production Design and Cinematography in Film and Television.

    The course has an artistic approach of creating unique experience of these subjects that are present in all visual arts.

    The course explores the time, space and light in cinematic storytelling.

    We will research and make experiments with natural light and with artificial light in outdoors and in constructed environment.

    Participants will create their own artistic outputs during workshop s two weeks independently and as a member of a varying crews.

     

    Visiting professionals give lectures in their own personal perspective to the topic.

    The student participates in joint lectures, in group exercises and feedback.
