LEARNING OUTCOMES

Upon completing the course, you will in Chinese:

- Be able to communicate with people using a variety of vocabulary and key grammatical structures
- Understand everyday texts in standard Mandarin, including longer texts
- Be able to write longer texts and exchange emails
- Be able to use the fundamental grammars and structures
- Have learnt and memorised about 200 new characters - Have collaborated in group work
- Have met the university regulations for foreign language studies

Content

    Reading: intermediate level
    Writing: longer texts
    Grammar: HSK 3
    Culture: Chinese people and Chinese business

Assessment Methods and Criteria

  • valid for whole curriculum period:

    - Lectures 24 h, active participation (10%)
    - Passing the course requires 75% attendance in class
    - Group work and written assignments (30%)
    - Presentation and oral exam (20%)
    - Written exam on lectures (40%)

    Contact hours: 24 hrs. Group work, preparation for an oral and a written exam: 57 hrs
