LEARNING OUTCOMES

Upon completing the course, you will in Chinese:

- have mastered level-B1 Chinese vocabulary and words (at least 200 new Chinese characters)
- Be able to engage in conversations on workplace topics and at formal occasions
- Be able to describe or present on specific work-related topics
- Write texts more smoothly and accurately
- Possess a deep understanding of traditional and modern Chinese culture, values and society
- Have enhance your listening comprehension skills
- Be able to pass the HSK test at level 3 or level 4

CONTENT, ASSESSMENT AND WORKLOAD

Content

    - Workplace-based speaking and reading. Topics include company introductions, work plans, business meetings, office supplies, etc. (Topics are tailored in part to the learners' needs)
    - Write more advanced texts in Chinese related to topics such as CVs
    - Prepare for an interview
    - Learn key grammar points at the B1 level
    - Master 200 Chinese characters

Assessment Methods and Criteria

    1. Lectures 24 h, active participation (10%)
    2. Group work and written assignments (40%)
