On completing the course, you will be able:


- to manage in Portuguese in the most common communicative situations at work and in everyday life
- to express yourself using common phrases in work and everyday life situations, e.g. introducing yourself, answering simple questions about your work and background, and producing brief written messages with the help of language tools
- to recognise and understand some of the cultural features and customs typical of the Lusophone world.

Content

    Understanding the basic structures and vocabulary needed in everyday life and work, practising simple communicative situations of everyday life and work, and getting to know some customs of the Lusophone world.

Assessment Methods and Criteria

    1. Lectures 24 h, active participation in class (10%). 80% attendance in class is required. Registration must be confirmed by attending the first lecture.
    2. Classroom tests and/or written assignments (30%)
    3. Written examination (60%)

Workload

    - Contact hours: 24 h (a multimodal courses that includes online-study)
    - Independent work by the student and a written examination, with preparing for the exam: 57 h
