LEARNING OUTCOMES

- You will manage in Portuguese in common communication situations at work.
- You will be to communicate in speech and writing in simple situations, including producing short written messages and giving basic information about your own work or business.
- You will handle basic economic terminology with some proficiency and understand the gist of relatively easy texts with the help of language tools.
- You will be able to search for the information you need from authentic sources (e.g. advertisements, notices, schedules, corporate websites)
- You will be able to take part in conversations in familiar situations relating to your own work and everyday life.
- You will have some familiarity with the customs of the Lusophone countries.

Content

    Learning more about the basic grammatical structures and expanding your basic vocabulary for everyday purposes, acquiring a limited economics vocabulary and managing in common communication situations at work and in everyday life, and getting to know some customs of the Lusophone world.

    1. Lectures, active participation in class (10%). Registration must be confirmed by attending the first lecture.
    2. Classroom tests and/or written assignments (30%)
    3. Written examination (60%)
