LEARNING OUTCOMES

At course completion, you will:

- be able to hold a fluent discussion in various kinds everyday life and work situations

- be able to write a broader range of texts
- know more about the similarities and differences between the cultures of various German-speaking countries

CONTENT, ASSESSMENT AND WORKLOAD

Content

    Strengthening spoken and written communication skills, giving presentations, talking about your own field, practising demanding grammar, possible visits to off-campus German-language events. Topics include work life, the natural environment, sustainable development, knowledge of lands and cultures, the economy and technology

Assessment Methods and Criteria

  • valid for whole curriculum period:

    Regular attendance and active participation in class, preparation for class, independent work, writing assignments

    Active participation in class and written assignments 50%, presentation and oral test 50%

    24 h (contact hours) + 57 h (self-study) OR 36 h (contact hours) + 45 h (self-study)
