LEARNING OUTCOMES

Students become familiar with some basic artistic methods with which one can study urban space, its elements and usage, from an alternative angle, and learn to apply and experiment with them through practical assignments.

CONTENT, ASSESSMENT AND WORKLOAD

Content

    We will explore Otaniemi surroundings in November and December using artistic methods and multisensory approach producing art interventions/installations which are not to merely intented to be looked at but also lived and felt.  The course includes both practice-based working in situation in groups or individually, and lectures on darkness from the point of view of cultural history and humanistic sciences.
