Content

    A review of preliminaries in category theory and sheaf theory; definitions of affine, projective and general schemes; basic properties of schemes.

    The main material for the course are Chapters 3-5 in The Rising Sea: Foundations of Algebraic Geometry by Ravi Vakil, with the necessary preliminaries of Chapters 1-2 to start off with.
