LEARNING OUTCOMES

Students learn approximately 150 new characters and study vocabulary from Chinese 2 in which the characters are used.

CONTENT, ASSESSMENT AND WORKLOAD

Content

  • valid for whole curriculum period:

    - Learn approximately 150 characters with pinyin
    - Write the characters with the right stroke order
    - Recognise some basic radicals
    - Improve your handwriting
    - Be able to look up Chinese words in the dictionary
    - Writing exercises for each lesson
    - Watch the teacher's videos
    - Review the characters with the H5P interactive activities

Assessment Methods and Criteria

    Self-study, assignments prepared by the teacher and a final examination

    2 hours contact teaching + 52 hours independent work
