LEARNING OUTCOMES

On a successful completion of the course, students


- can design their work as a whole, which will work in the context of a group exhibition.

- are familiar with various exhibition practicalities.

- have produced a photographic work for an exhibition context and participated in the planning of the exhibition together with other students.

- are able to negotiate on their work and its alternative hanging solutions with the exhibition organizer.

- have produced the texts related to the exhibition.

Content

    This course prepares for a group exhibition, and it includes planning and implementing a group exhibition as well as related texts.

    The course is only for second year Master's students who present their thesis or a part of it in the exhibition.

Assessment Methods and Criteria

    80% attendance in group meetings and participation in all stages of exhibition project.

Workload
  • valid for whole curriculum period:

    Contact teaching appr. 50 h.

    Independent work appr. 50 h.

    The artistic work is part of the thesis, for which the credits will be given separately.

    Course involves an anually changing exhibition. Exhibition is a co-operation with a third party, and the timetable of the course will be determined according to the exhibition time. Mainly the student's work focuses on period II, but depending on the exhibition, the course may continue in period III.
