LEARNING OUTCOMES
After the course the student can list the most important environmental/spatial data sets available in Finland and identify the difference between commercial and open data. The student knows INSPIRE directive and understands why it has been developed. The student understands the importance of metadata specifications of data sets and the role of spatial data and spatial data management in organizations. The student can access environmental/spatial data sets and identify the challenges in integrating data from different sources.
