LEARNING OUTCOMES

Research-based animation film production. During this course we'll be looking into how to utilize virtual and/or augmented reality to create meaningful narratives and audiovisual content. By testing and experimenting with various ideas and concepts, the students are able to perceive the expressive potential of this medium. The course will contain for example: introductory lectures to familiarize the students with the subject, case studies, discussion, exercises and prototyping ideas, and a course project.

    Students do tests, experiments and research and utilize virtual and/or augmented reality to create meaningful narratives towards a VR installation in small groups.

Assessment Methods and Criteria

    Lectures and exercises. Successful completion of the course will require attendance of 80 % of the course and that all the student's exercises are completed and approved. Students will be required to give course feedback in order to successfully complete the course.
