CONTENT, ASSESSMENT AND WORKLOAD

Content

    Digital design is a relatively new toolset, process and a medium. Therefore there are a lot of possibilities for exploring the boundaries of digital design and one’s skillset. During the course the student has a chance to learn about, explore and specialize in the creative use of digital design whether it is in the area of CAD, 3D printing or Virtual reality (to name a few). Every student carries out an explorative project in the area of digital design.   

    After the course the student has the possibility to continue the project as a personal project 2-10 cr. 

Assessment Methods and Criteria
  • valid for whole curriculum period:

    Students must attend and display active participation in at least 80% of the contact teachings (lectures, workshops, etc.). 

    Creative use of digital design (uniqueness), technical mastery, significance in the field, process. 

Workload
  • valid for whole curriculum period:

    Lectures, workshops, online material, readings, tutoring, individual work, final assignment, critique. 80% attendance is required.

    The total workload for the course amounts to 162 hours (I ECTS credits = 27 hours).

    - Contact teaching (including final presentation) 40 hours

    - Individual and group work 89 hours

    - Personal reflection 32 hours

    - Course evaluation 1 hour
