LEARNING OUTCOMES

The student will develop skills in drawing, artistic expression and observation. The emphasis is in achieving technical abilities needed for sketching and drawing the living environment in relation to personal expression.

CONTENT, ASSESSMENT AND WORKLOAD

Content

    Drawing exercises: observing the forms, light, shadow and spatial impression. Sketches made at site e.g. in museums and in nature. Producing completed drawings out of sketches.

Assessment Methods and Criteria

  • valid for whole curriculum period:

    Personally guided exercises, discussions and critiques. Assessment Criteria: Development of personal expression, progress in perception-based drawing.

    • Course compelation requires at least 80% attendance and completion of assigned work given by the teachers by a specific deadline.
    • Students are requested to notify the teacher via e-mail, whose classes you are
      absent from of any absence due to illness or another serious reason.
    • If you are sick, make a substitute assignment for the actual day, which you can find in MyCourses before the next lecture day.
