LEARNING OUTCOMES

Students get experience of presenting their own ongoing doctoral research. Students learn to give feedback to peers and learn from other doctoral students' working processes and methods. Students learn to take part on discussions of academic and artistic work, which is based on peer’s presentations and academic texts. Students understand the form and process of making doctoral dissertation.

    This seminar is open for all doctoral students in the Department of Art & Media. Students from other departments are also welcome. The seminar consists of seminar conversations, visitors and workshops. The seminar is an important place to maintain dialogue, and develop ongoing dissertation work with peers, with instructors, and with visitors. The doctoral seminar is recommended for the newly started as well as advanced students.
