Content

Doing research provides an overview into the doctoral research process and awareness of the types of competences that need to be created as part of it. It seeks to deepen doctoral studies understanding of different phases, typical challenges and different aspects of research processes. The course discusses basic concepts related to doing research and skills in finding out more information on issues such as research design, methodology, methods, analysis, theories. The main outcome of the course is to apply the gained understanding in improving ones own research plan for guiding one's doctoral research and funding it.
Assessment Methods and Criteria
valid for whole curriculum period:
The course is assessed by an improved 5 page research plan by the student (70%) and an exam on the course readings (30%).
