in a blended media environment.
The topic of this workshop is Deviant Diorama’s (departing from usual or accepted standards).
The workshop will introduce the basic principles of dynamic storytelling for designers and how
they apply storytelling information in blended media environments (drawing, physical making, AR)
using NFC (Near Field Chips) as a point of interaction.
Concepts such as narrative, experience, interaction and audience perspective will
be explored practically through designing and learning to build a simple prototype.
Students will learn interdisciplinary approaches to designing information for an illustrated
AR environment.
The aim of the workshop is to design and prototype a simple AR experience set in context.
Prior knowledge of illustration and narrative is helpful, but not essential.
