Content

  The Art and Media Master’s Thesis Seminar is a 6 cr course that supports students in the development of their MA thesis.

  The Art and Media Master’s Thesis Seminar is a 6 cr course that supports students in the development of their MA thesis on multiple levels. 
  

  Students from all majors will come together to learn about thesis requirements, evaluation criteria and graduation process (including supervisor, advisor, 10-10-10 process and when/how to register and submit their thesis, research ethics, etc.)Thesis structure and potential ways to balance theory and practice within it will also be addressed. 

  In major-specific groups or clusters of majors, students will complete a thesis plan, carry out research and other tasks that will further their thesis work towards completion. Students will present ideas for the thesis to their peers with the opportunity to further argumentative skills, and give and receive constructive feedback in a supportive environment. 

  Programme level teaching will be carried out in English. Major-specific group teaching will be carried out in English and/or in Finnish, depending on the major.

  Participation in teaching, completed assignments.
