LEARNING OUTCOMES

-student recognizes that there are different ways of how concept "functional" or "smart" material are used in the literature, and what kind of justifications can be used

-student knows what kind of functional soft materials are currently envisioned for uses in the fields of biomedicine, renewable energy conversion, sensors, organic electronics, and coatings/substrates

-student knows what kind of methods can be applied for evaluating the environmental impacts of new materials and material fabrication processes

-student learns to prepare and present a presentation for a scientific meeting

    Maximum 30 students can be accepted to the course in the following priority order:

    1. Functional Materials MSc program - major students

    2. Students in the Doctoral Programs of Schools of Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Science

    3. AMIS - major students

    A course implementation may be cancelled if the number of students enrolled to the course implementation does not meet the required minimum of five students. In the case of cancelled course implementations, the students enrolled to them must be provided with an alternative way of completing the course or be advised to take some other applicable course.
