The rotating fields and harmonics in electrical machines cover the following topics

  • basics of electrical machine analysis
  • design and analyse the winding topology in rotating electrical machine
  • model and discuss the effect of eccentricity and teeth harmonics

The 6 sessions are decomposed into 2 parts:

  • 3 short lectures followed by an assignment
  • 3 project session based on Comsol multiphysics and the tools developed previously

The assignments covers 40 % of the grading and the project report 60 %.
