Content

Magnetism of electrons and atoms, magnetic ordering phenomena, domain theory and magnetization reversal, nanoscale magnetism, magnetization dynamics, experimental methods, applications of magnetic materials, magnetoresistance, recent topics in nanomagnetism and spintronics.
Assessment Methods and Criteria

Weekly excercises (week 1-6) and a student presentation on a topic related to the course (final week).
Workload

Lectures, reading of text book and review articles, exercise sessions, homework exercises, student presentation on topic related to the course.
