Personal investigation of a functional material related scientific/technical/educational research problem. There is a lot of variability in both the topics and the nature of the projects, which reflects the fact that faculty have various interests and priorities. The nature of the work usually includes either experimental, simulation, engineering design, data analysis or theoretical work. Reporting the results is an essential part of the project.

Assessment Methods and Criteria
  • valid for whole curriculum period:

Individual project and written report: the performance and independency in the lab, ability to keep up with the agreed timetable and the report affect the grade.
