CONTENT, ASSESSMENT AND WORKLOAD
Content

During the workshop students will work along different types of rehearsals that vary each year and represents most common special challenges during filmmaking process.
Advanced MA-lab 2 is a co-production of students in cinematography, production design and costume design. Projects during the workshop are combinations of research- and practice-based case-studies that are focusing to the required special techniques in pre-production, shooting- and post-production stages.
Assessment Methods and Criteria

Scale: 1 – 5
Active participation to croup working and lectures, accomplishment of given tasks, leadership skills and self-reflection about the learning process during the workshop (work diary).
Evaluation criteria based on student’s crew and own reflection about their co-operation skills and students own share of co-operation. Student’s own progress evaluated during different stages of the workshop and in common feed-back session at the end of the workshop.

Student’s own group work 147 h.
Work diary 16 h.
Lectures, research, hands-on teaching and working, student’s individual and group work, learning the heritage and new methods of filmmaking. Common screenings, student’s presentations, and feedback.
At least 80% participation in face-to-face teaching is mandatory to complete the course. If, due to absences, the student does not achieve the learning outcomes defined in the course description, the remaining 20% may have to be compensated as determined by the responsible teachers of the course.
All absences must be reported to the teachers in charge. The responsible teachers of the course will specify the necessary compensating assignments.Study methods changed by decision of Academic Committee for Arts, Design and Architecture on 1st of February 2023.

Weeks 47 - 48 for students in cinematography (post-production phase).
This course is part of MA-laboratories series that includes parts 1 and 2. Both courses deepen student’s professional skills and compose together a laboratory circumstances where they can get familiar with the wide range of different duties and responsibilities that they will face during their professional career. In both courses (MA-lab 1 and 2) tasks will vary each year and it is vital for students to participate in both courses since they offer different approaches for filmmaking techniques.
