    COURSE DESCRIPTION

The course examines the relationships between image and text and the frames that define them. The course will begin by mapping and drawing out different areas where image and word are related, particularly in photography. Teaching will also consider the tensions and potential problems of image and text. The relationship between image and text will be explored in a polyphonic and heterogeneous way - the course will feature several Finnish photographers who intersect image and text in their work and practice.

    KURSSIKUVAUS
