LEARNING OUTCOMES

On successful completion of this course, you will be able to: 

1. Plan visual continuity with storyboarding.
2. Plan and produce motion graphics and animation tasks using After Effects, Blender, and other web technologies.

3. Solve motion-related problems with basic computational elements.

4. Implement perspective, composition, thumbnail sketching, lighting effects, figure and background staging, and motion.

5. Produce a basic level 2D/3D animatic design and identify the principles of creating a finished animation.

6. Summarise the basics of using sound with motion.

Content

    The course consists of lectures, storyboard exercises, illustration, or visualization work. The student will be assessed in part on final presentations of their work that demonstrate mastery of the form and awareness of context.

    Students work will be assessed based on the artistic value of your final product, active participation, discussions, and sharing of work with peers, your abilities to pitch the idea, and also what you've learned while producing your animation – Everyone will be working on their individual projects, the idea is also to openly share the learning process with each other so that we boost the learning experience in the whole class through each other's cases.

Assessment Methods and Criteria

    Participation in teaching, completed assignments.

    Minimum 80% attendance.
