LEARNING OUTCOMES

  • Students will develop their visual perception skills through practical two- and three-dimensional work assignments.

CONTENT, ASSESSMENT AND WORKLOAD

Content

    The core focus of Studio A is to develop the student's personal relationship towards making art. The keyword for the course is "I". The student concentrates on assembling a personal set of artistic and technical skills through learning-by-doing. Two and three dimensional concepts are investigated through short exercises using observation, experience, and memory. The familiar is juxtaposed with novel and provocative concepts.

    Perception, exercise, and memory-based exercises. Assignments given by the teacher. Supervised task-based working, critiques, and discussions. Exercises using varying techniques (individual and group working9. Exhibition visits.
