LEARNING OUTCOMES
The goal is to develop a doctoral-level understanding of the most widely used theoretical approaches to the study of organizations. The course develops understanding of the variety of the perspectives, and their differing assumptions and focuses. Furthermore, the course prepares student to contribute to organization theory.

The perspectives vary yearly, but cover majority of the key perspectives, including: decision making and strategic perspectives; behavioral perspectives; institutional perspective; practice theory perspectives; interpretative and sensemaking perspectives; discourse, rhetoric and narrative perspectives; and change and historical perspectives.
