Content

    1. Learning the essential use of software that is central to the production of visual communication in the field of arts. Digital image editing, vector graphics, and page layout with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign software.
    2. High-quality visual presentation of one's professional competence.
    3. Legal issues of related materials: usage rights and licenses.
    4. The role of artificial intelligence (AI) within the subject area.

Assessment Methods and Criteria
  • valid for whole curriculum period:

    Ability to use the programs for digital image editing, vector graphics, and page layout covered in the course. Completing the course assignments based on the given instructions. Successful completion of the course requires 80% attendance. 



Workload
  • valid for whole curriculum period:

    Contact teaching 24 h, independent work 30 h

    Credit transfer: The course content is not equivalent with the information and technology courses provided at most Finnish universities. To substitute the course, the student must have completed a course covering professional-level programs for digital image editing, vector graphics, and page layout.
