LEARNING OUTCOMES

This course provides students with the basic understanding of the processes and practices through which strategy is implemented in organizations. Students learn the basic principles for facilitating strategic implementation through leadership, communications, and organizational design. The course familiarizes students with typical strategy processes and the variety of organizational roles involved in strategy implementation. The course also addresses the barriers and obstacles that may hinder strategic implementation. Teaching further involves the relevant current and emerging themes in strategy.

    This course familiarizes students with the practice and implementation of strategy in multinational corporations, smaller entrepreneurial firms and other types of contemporary organizations. Students will gain a realistic perspective to practices and routines related to strategy through case studies, guest lectures, and a variety of individual and group assignments.
