This introductory course on Linux operation system and bash shell provides an overview of Linux and open source software ecosystem starting from an Linux installation and configuration. Course contains:
- Introduction of Linux file systems, commands, and text editors.
- The use of command line and Bash shell
- Managing Linux processes
- Basic administrative tasks in Linux
- Linux servers and network settings

Exercises and practical usage test (Examination).

6 exercises, 0-2 points per exercise. Minimum 9 out of 12 points required.
Practical examination is done in a classroom with on your own laptop. You're given 5 tasks. Of the first 4, you need to do 3 successfully. The 5th task is to download and compile a program and demonstrate that it is running. The assistant will check the tasks in at the exam. To pass you need to do the 5th task successfully and 3 out of the 4 first tasks successfully.
