Please note! Course description is confirmed for two academic years, which means that in general, e.g. Learning outcomes, assessment methods and key content stays unchanged. However, via course syllabus, it is possible to specify or change the course execution in each realization of the course, such as how the contact sessions are organized, assessment methods weighted or materials used.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

Upon completion of the course the student can:
1. Calculate the magnetic response of a magnetic circuit
2. Explain the principles of electromechanical energy conversion and power losses
3. Describe the construction of different electrical machine types and their operation
4. Build an equivalent circuit of an electrical machine
5. Use equivalent circuits to calculate the steady-state operation quantities of electrical machines
