LEARNING OUTCOMES

After successfully completing the course, the students are able to:

  1. Use the basic drawing & modeling tools;
  2. Model simple parts;
  3. Create assemblies & drawings;
  4. Design utilizing the basics of parametrization, relations and links.

CONTENT, ASSESSMENT AND WORKLOAD

Content

    During the course the student is introduced to the basics of parametric 3D CAD modeling. 

Assessment Methods and Criteria

    Quality of the returns (number of errors, amount of challenge and detail in the design, diligence etc.), use of parametric thinking 

Workload

    Lectures, tutoring, online material, individual work, final assignment 

    The total workload for the course is 3 cr= 81 hours 

    • Contact teaching (including final presentation) 20 hours
    • Individual and group work 44 hours
    • Personal reflection 16 hours

    Students must attend and display active participation in at least 80% of the contact teachings (lectures etc.).
