The course includes practice-led studio work and is to be taken in combination with fashion and textile design courses. Students are introduced to design of advanced jacquard structures and learn to develop designs parallel in physical & digital space. The teaching consists of lectures, demonstrations, tutoring, group meetings, and critique sessions. Students design a collection of woven fabrics, which can include patterned jacquards as well as plains and textures, and realize it in a weaving workshop, on an industrial machine, and as digital simulations. The course assignment is linked to the concept designed in the Textile Design Concept, Fashion Design Concept, and/or Fashion Collection project course and can be combined with the assignment of the Advanced Printed Fabrics and Finishes Workshop and Advanced 3D-shaping project.

Please note that the course is linked to the courses: MUO-E1079 Textile Design Concept and/or MUO-E1080 Fashion Design Concept and/or MUO-E1076 Fashion Collection Project.
