LEARNING OUTCOMES

Students become familiar with essential literature and publications related to the theoretical discussions on the principles as well as the methodological and epistemological foundations of artistic and practice-based research, in order to understand differences and similarities in the debates within various academic and geographical contexts.

Content

    The core content of the reading seminar is built around the essential literature, other reading materials and online discussions in which the principles, histories, methodologies, and epistemologies of artistic and practice-based research have been debated and defined.

Assessment Methods and Criteria

    Active participation in the discussion showing the familiarity with reading material is the most important element in assessing the students.

Workload
  • valid for whole curriculum period:

    During the reading seminar the participant read selected essays, books, articles, and other publications on artistic and practice-based research, prepare to discuss and also summarize to other students the content of the materials they have read.

    3 ECTS = 20 hours contact teaching: seminars, discussions, 61 hours independent reading.
