LEARNING OUTCOMES

Student will learn to observe the built environment with regard to inclusive and user centered approach.

Student is able to identify different user groups of buildings and learns basic knowledge of inclusive space design.

Student will practice team working in a multidisciplinary group.

CONTENT, ASSESSMENT AND WORKLOAD

Content

    This is a lecture course on inclusive space design. 
    The course gives introduction to the themes of the course: universal design and user diversity (age, culture, disability, personal identity etc.)
    Team work: The team makes a presentation on one of the topics of the course and makes observations related to interaction between users and the built environment.

Assessment Methods and Criteria

    Teamwork participation: discussion on the themes and participation in the team work presentation

    Individual: reading and assimiliation

    Assessment: participation in the group work, peer evaluation

    Evaluation method: presentation and peer evaluation of the assignment

    Criteria: Attendance to course (80%) and active participation.
