  • understand the multi-faceted relationship between the production designer, the spectator, and various media screens.
  • recognize different traditions and contexts of screen reliant/based arts and practices as well as different theoretical approaches relating to them.

CONTENT, ASSESSMENT AND WORKLOAD

Content

    During the course, theoretical texts exploring the topic are read. Based on lectures, texts, and screenings, artistic assignments are produced, along with research-based presentations and discussions.

    Students become aquinted with different traditions and contexts of screen reliant/based arts and practices as well as various theoretical approaches relating to them.

Assessment Methods and Criteria

    • Participation, successful completion of assignments, self-evaluation.

    • Workload consists of:
      • Contact teaching 21 h. 
      • Student’s own work 78 h. 
      • time to think 21 h. 

    Course consists of following study methods:

    • Activating lecture, group discussion, independent and group work, peer learning, presentation, excursion, screening, feedback sessions.

    • Registration for courses is confirmed by attending the first class of the course. Students who drop out of the course without good reason will fail the course. At least 80% participation in face-to-face teaching is mandatory to complete the course. If, due to absences, the student does not achieve the learning outcomes defined in the course description, the remaining 20% may have to be compensated as determined by the responsible teachers of the course. All absences must be reported to the teachers in charge. The responsible teachers of the course will specify the necessary compensating assignments.
