LEARNING OUTCOMES

Students deepen their understanding of the relationship between thinking and images. The students acquire theoretical and practical skills to identify the impact of image-based pre-understanding and habit in perception and thinking. The students participate in an artistic and pedagogical discussion in which the effect and power of visual phenomena are explored and presented in images and as images.

Content

    The course examines the construction of image-based thinking as a human, educational and cultural phenomenon through visual and theoretical work. The course is based on anthropological art pedagogy, in which, through participatory observation and artistic activity, the aim is to identify personal, cultural and species-specific habits, especially in the structures of thinking.

Assessment Methods and Criteria

    Evaluation criteria: participation in teaching and activity in discussion, completed assignments.

    Minimum 80% attendance.

Workload

    Lectures, exercises, written and visual work, excursion. The work of the course aims at the development of an art pedagogical toolkit and visual resource material, which will be distributed at the end of the course among all participants for application for further artistic or pedagogical work.
