Content

    Practice the basic techniques of screen printing. Preparation of the screen by hand painting and use of exposure. Printing material used: mesh.

    Kurssin opetuskieli on suomi ja englanti. Teaching language is both English and Finnish.

    The course prepares the student for independent work in screenprinting and opens up opportunities for expanding personal artistic expression. We are practising of the basic techniques in screenprinting. We are learning by doing the preparations of the screen and the actual printing process.

    On the course the students should finish three individual prints using the  introduced techniques.

    The course is organized as contact teaching (70 hours) including demonstrations, lectures, exercises and personal guidance.

    Registration:

    Prioritization order for admission is based on the prioritization criteria established by Aalto ARTS:

    After the registration has closed, SISU conducts a raffle to allocate all the seats while considering the possible prioritisation order stated above. If there are more registrants than available seats, ten (10) students from the remaining applicants are drawn and placed on a waiting list in numerical order. On the first day of the course, these students may check for available seats in case of no-shows. Any available seats are then filled in numerical order.

    All applicants will receive an email containing details about the registration status, once the registration period has closed.

    Minimum amount of participants is 8 students, maximum 12.
