LEARNING OUTCOMES

At course completion, you will:

- understand some simple communication situations related to work and everyday life. You will be able to often recognise the topic people are talking about around you.

- know some basic terminology related to the world of work. You will be able to introduce the key elements of a company or a line of business both orally and in writing.

- be able to talk about a variety of topics that are of interest to you with a helpful conversation partner.

- understand the gist of short texts related to work and everyday life.

- You will have familiarised yourself with the different areas of the French-speaking world and will know their distinguishing cultural features.

Content

    The students practise expressing the past tense and related communication situations while refreshing and building upon the grammar learnt in previous courses. Further familiarisation with the cultures of French-speaking countries.

Assessment Methods and Criteria
  • valid for whole curriculum period:

    1. Lectures 36 h, active participation in class (10%). 80% attendance in class is required. Registration must be confirmed by attending the first lecture.

    2. Classroom tests and/or written assignments (20%)

    3. Oral test and/or oral assignments (20%)

    4. Written examination: 50%

Workload
