LEARNING OUTCOMES

After the course the student will be able to:

1. search for relevant literature on a given topic and critically evaluate scientific articles
2. perform laboratory or simulation based research on a given topic
3. draw conclusions from results obtained and from results presented in the literature
4. compare results with the literature
5. present experimental results in a clear and logical way in a laboratory report/seminar

Content

    A research project can be an extended laboratory work, molecular simulations or some other theoretical work. The student becomes acquainted with the project through practical work, a literature survey, and reports the results in a written report and possibly a seminar presentation.
