    The course format comprises of the following elements: lectures, learning diary, group presentation, business game and individual activity and learning diary.

Assessment Methods and Criteria

    Lectures, exercises, group work, seminars, business simulation.

    The course is very interactive comprising teaching from CHEM and BIZ. Students are expected to participate actively by:

    • Assembling into effective groups with a specific design topic
    • Writing learning diary based on learnings and problems encountered
    • Conducting business cases of the selected process
    • Playing business simulation (or game) with other groups
    • Having multidiscipline discussions

    There will also be more traditional lecturing, also by invited guest lecturers from the School of Business

    Registration:

    A maximum of 30 students are accepted to the course. Students of the following majors are prioritised. 

    • Industrial Energy Processes of MSc in Advanced Energy Solutions (AAE)
    • Chemical and Process Engineering of MSc in Chemical and Metallurgical Engineering
    • Chemical and Process Engineering of MSc in Chemical, Biochemical and Materials Engineering

    If there is space, other Aalto degree students and exchange students can be accepted to the course.

    A course implementation may be cancelled if the number of students enrolled to the course implementation does not meet the required minimum of five students. In the case of cancelled course implementations, the students enrolled to them must be provided with an alternative way of completing the course or be advised to take some other applicable course.
