The course enables the student to

  1. identify the concept of surface design and understands the context where it is used
  2. use various computer-aided and some analogue methods to design a collection of repeating surface patterns.

Content

    This course in an independently conducted online-course. The online material introduces students to the concept of surface design and various computer-aided and some analogue methods for designing repeating surface patterns in various colourways. The course assignment includes designing a collection of surface patterns, presenting it as mock-up images and documenting the process.
