Compulsory course in Sustainable metals processing and Creative Sustainability (CHEM) majorsThermodynamics of pure substances and energetics of chemical reactions and their reactions with simple gas mixtures. Applications of the developed skills to the industrial applications including heat/energy balances. After the course the student canLinks to Microsoft Teams meetings
- calculate heat and energy balances in industrial reactors and processes,
- calculate chemical equilibria between gas mixtures and pure substances and knows the energetic relations of chemical reactions,
- construct and apply various equilibrium and phase diagrams
