Topic outline

  • Right after meeting with your supervising teacher and partner it's time to begin writing in your learning journal which is a simple wiki. You'll be writing in the journal regularly - preferably after each tutoring and learning event, as well as after meeting with your supervising teachers. Click on the link below to find out how you should maintain your journal and to begin writing it. Remember to include everything you do for your tandem work, including work you might do independently (self-study) with the language.

You'll also find below the Excel chart which is made to help you keep track of your hours. You'll be expected to submit this at the end of the programme into your wiki as a file to show your successful completion of the hours.

Begin your first journal entry by re-assessing your learning objectives for this programme. You can use the same statements made in the first self-assessment you did. Your new objectives should guide your choices of activities throughout the programme, but you can of course adjust them (with reasonable justification) at any point. Please note that you MUST write out your specific objectives at the beginning of your learning journal. It will help both you and your supervising teacher to see what your goals are and to regualrly verify if they are realistic and achievable.

    Enjoy learning and reflecting! :)
