Calculating your EOTO minutes and hours
Completion requirements
Please use this chart to keep track of all the minutes used for this programme.
The Learning column means all the minutes used for:
- the pre-programme tasks, such as self-assessment of own language skills (Stage 1) and Stage 2
- writing in your journal and other small tasks, such as filling in this Excel chart
- learning and practising the language with your partner
- learning and practising on your own (self-study)
The tutoring column means all the minutes used for:
- finding and preparing material to tutor your partner
- writing in your journal and updating the Excel chart
The Meetings column means simply all the meetings that you have with your supervising teachers:
- the first orientation meeting with both supervising teachers present (usually 60 min)
- all the mid-point (monthly) meetings with each separate teacher (usually 30 min at a time)
- the final meeting with both supervising teachers present (usually 60 min)
Please try to fill in all your hours for the final meeting with your supervising teachers (you are allowed to fill in the final meeting's 60 minutes in advance). So:
- Copy the
file,
- save it under a new name, and
- fill in all of your hours (don’t forget to
also put in the total number of hours you were aiming for – 27 in your case).
Remember that ‘Meeting minutes’ mean all the times you met with your
supervising teachers, not with your tandem (EOTO) partner.
- Once you’ve done that, add it as a ‘File’ to your learning journal (one of the tabs is labelled ‘Files’).
