Topic outline

  • After successfully completing the course, you will have the knowledge and skills needed to produce your master's thesis successfully. This course has two parts: Qualitative research methods and quantitative research methods. By attending lectures, independently watching the audiovisual material and by reading the articles as well as the textbook of this course, you will develop a solid understanding of the research methods which allow you to address particular research problems in a systematic, scientific way. An understanding of these research methods assists you, first and foremost, in tackling the challenges later in your own master's thesis. Moreover, this course gives you the capability to evaluate and criticize, at least to some degree, various scientific investigations in both the qualitative and the quantitative genres  and especially such studies that revolve around accounting topics.

Course content consists of materials published in the MyCourses sections (qualitative and quantitative methods materials).

In case you face any issues (technical or content) at any stage during this course please come and ask in help clinic sessions or place those questions in the Q&A section
