During the second period of 2021, Web Software Development will be organized as a fully online course. There are no lectures or exercise sessions; hours for online guidance are available in the materials at https://wsd.cs.aalto.fi/. Slack is used as an (unofficial) support channel for the course. You can join the channel using this link or the chat-bubble icon in the materials.
The course consists of reading online materials, working on assignments, working on (two) projects, and conducting self- and peer-reviews.
In the course, we will use rolling grading which means that you proceed at your own pace. Aim to complete the course by the end of the second period though, as a new iteration of the course will be released early in 2022.
The recommended schedule for the present course is as follows:
Week 1 (1.11-7.11): Parts 1-6
Week 2 (8.11-14.11): Parts 7-10 (Starting and completing Project I, completing self-review and one peer-review)
Week 3 (15.11-21.11): Parts 11-15 (Completing remaining Project I peer-reviews)
Week 4 (22.11-28.11): Parts 16-24
Week 5 (29.11-5.12): Parts 25-26 (Starting with Project II)
Week 6 (6.12-12.12): Working on Project II
Week 7 (13.12-20.12): Finishing Project II and project-related self- and peer-reviews, visiting Parts 27-30
