    Landscape can be seen as a complex social-ecological system, where green structures generate ecosystem services. Ecosystem services are utilized by human beings in various ways and landscape is managed based on human needs. To understand this human-nature interaction, we will focus on defined landscape, Pyhä Luosto area, where the approach to landscape is dominated by tourism. By using a social-ecological systems perspective to understand tourism and landscape interactions in northern areas, the aim is to create visions for sustainable and resource-wise future land use.
