    Learning Outcomes:  

    This is a supporting course for Chinese 2. Students learn approximately 140 new characters and study vocabulary related to the course Chinese 2. It is recommended to take both courses simultaneously, if possible.

    Study material:

    吃了吗 Chi le ma? (Kiinan peruskurssi / a course in basic Chinese)

    The book is used for the courses Chinese 1 to Chinese 4. 

    The teacher will upload the material for the assignments. However, please note that detailed grammar explanations, as well as vocabulary, can be found in the coursebook Chi le ma. 

    Please note that you are required to write sentences. Therefore, please review the grammar parts yourself, if you are not taking the course Chinese 2. 

    Course content: Chi le ma textbook chapters 4-6 vocabulary and grammar.

    Assessment methods and criteria: 

    1. Self-study

    3. Written final examination, 31.5. 

    The teacher will inform the place of the exam by email.

    One Meeting: Zoom meeting: 22.4.2022 8:30-10:00

    The meeting is optional. It will be a kick-off lesson for the course.

    Written exam: 31.5.2022 12:00-13:30

    You do not have to register for the test separately.

    Exam:
    - recognize characters and write the pinyin (syllable + tone)
    - write characters according to the given pinyin
    - write characters according to the correct stroke order
    - recognize the most common radicals (presented in the book) and know their meaning
    - understand and produce text within the range of the vocabulary and grammar presented in chapters 4-6 of the coursebook
